❓ Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Iron + Folic Acid Complex?
It is a combination of Iron, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, and Zinc formulated to support normal haemoglobin formation, red-blood-cell production, energy metabolism, and immune function.
2. What is Ferrous Bisglycinate?
Ferrous Bisglycinate is a chelated form of Iron in which Iron is associated with glycine. The raw-material weight is not the same as its elemental-Iron contribution.
3. Does each capsule contain 29 mg Ferrous Bisglycinate?
The attached panel appears to declare 29 mg elemental Iron from Ferrous Bisglycinate. The actual Ferrous Bisglycinate input weight must be calculated from its verified elemental-Iron percentage and declared correctly.
4. Why is Vitamin C included?
Vitamin C supports the absorption of non-haem Iron and also contributes to antioxidant protection and normal immune function.
5. Does this supplement treat anaemia?
No. Anaemia has different causes, including Iron, Folate, or Vitamin B12 deficiency, blood loss, chronic disease, genetic conditions, and other medical problems. Diagnosis requires appropriate medical assessment and blood tests.
6. Can men take this product?
Men should use a high-Iron supplement only when their dietary need or Iron status has been professionally assessed. Routine Iron supplementation is not appropriate for everyone.
7. Can pregnant women take it?
Pregnant women should use Iron and Folic Acid supplements according to the dosage recommended by their obstetrician. Pregnancy requirements and therapeutic doses may differ from this product’s formula.
8. Why can Iron cause dark stools?
Iron supplements can make stools darker and may cause nausea, constipation, stomach discomfort, or diarrhoea. Black, tarry stools accompanied by pain, weakness, or bleeding symptoms require urgent medical assessment.
9. Can I take it with thyroid medicine or antibiotics?
Iron and Zinc can reduce the absorption of certain medicines. Thyroid medicines, tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, bisphosphonates, and penicillamine may require a specific separation interval determined by a doctor or pharmacist.
10. Who should not use this product without medical advice?
Children, pregnant or lactating women, people with normal or high Iron stores, haemochromatosis, thalassaemia, sickle-cell disorders, repeated blood transfusions, liver disease, kidney disease, gastrointestinal disease, or unexplained anaemia should obtain professional advice first.
